Boomtown New Orleans

Boomtown is the largest riverboat casino in Southeast Louisiana since its acquisition of one of the twin River City Casino riverboats in 1998. It has over 1,500 slots and video poker games, 30 table games on the first floor and is open 24 hours a day.

Captain of the Watch (trip work)

The incumbent in this position is responsible for managing the operation of the casino vessel to ensure compliance with all applicable USCG, ABSC regulations and the policies/procedures of Boomtown Casino New Orleans. The incumbent in this position is also responsible for serving both the external and internal customers by providing a clean, friendly and safe atmosphere on the vessel.





RequirementsJOB QUALIFICATIONS


    

  • Must have experience as a licensed Second Mate or higher; a current license in not required. Based upon experience, could also be a qualified Senior Deckhand upon completion of an ABSC approved training program.
    • 

  • CPR & Fire Fighting training is required.
    • 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain valid gaming license.
    • 

  • High degree of interpersonal skills.
    • 

  • Must have strong leadership and team building skills.
    • 

  • Must be detailed oriented.
    • 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
