Odisha-Bengal coasts brace for Cyclone Yaas
Weather·Last nightOdisha-Bengal coasts brace for Cyclone YaasThe India Meteorological Department said that a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into Cyclone Yaas, which will likely cross Odisha-West Bengal coasts on May 26 after turning into a “very severe cyclonic storm”. Windspeeds of about 150-160 kmph with gusts of up to 180 kmph are expected during landfall in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Balasore and Bhadrak areas.Photo via @PBNS_India
