Dear Fellow Mariners,
Assalamu Alaikum & Greetings,

With the popular demand and with its main objective of Bangladesh Mariners Society (BMS) fellow Members’ welfare around the globe, by keeping every individual’s own identity of his existing associates with his own organization, irrespective of their background & affiliation, BMS is setting-up “Global Assistance Fund” based in Singapore.

In order to execute the “Global Assistance Fund”, BMS Singapore Chapter has registered with Singapore Registry of Societies under the Societies Act on 27 August 2019 (as Bangladesh Mariners Society as its Parent Organization which was formed on 29 May 2014 under the Societies Registration Act 1860 of Bangladesh).
The gazette notification effecting the BMS Singapore Chapter registration was published in Singapore Government Gazette.
BMS Singapore Chapter’s Unique Entity Number (UEN) in Singapore stands as T19SS0189G.

BMS Singapore Chapter will open a Bank Account here in Singapore for its main purpose of “Global Assistance Fund” mainly to oversee the welfare activities of all the Global BMS Members.

BMS Singapore Chapter will be the BMS Global Head Quarter here in Singapore for all the overseas fellow BMS Members and will run by its own Executive Committee, comprising Mariners of Bangladeshi origin from all backgrounds and this Executive Committee will work very closely with the BMS Dhaka Head Office in all respect, including participating in all the major decision-making process.

As a part of the “Master Plan” from BMS, construction work has already been started for the multi-story “BMS Tower” in Baridhara, Dhaka on a 10 katha precious land, which was personally donated by the BMS President Engr. Rashid.

Marine Officers Housing Limited (MOHL) housing project is taking shape at Dhaka, where BMS also owns a 20 katha plot, which is 4 housing plots out of total 311 housing plots for Mariners.
After this successful phase of MOHL project, BMS may plan for its 2nd phase of housing project in the near future where BMS Life Members will only be eligible to apply for the housing plots.

May Almighty always keep all of us fit & healthy to serve for the BMS and we look forward for all the fellow BMS Members’ better future.

Kind regards
Baten
