Subject: [BDMariners] FINAL LIST of CANDIDATES (Amendment 2) for BMMOA ELECTION 2019-20

With reference to the BMMOA Election 2019-20, this is for the information of all concerned that the Members of the Election Sub-Committee for the BMMOA Election 2019-20, has further reviewed and verified the nomination forms submitted by the candidates of which 02 (two) more nominations have been rejected by the ESC for not being properly filled-in and/or submitted in due procedure. The amended final list of contestants is attached herewith as Amendment 2. Consequently this is to further inform that no eligible candidate has been found for the post of Public Relations & Social Welfare Secretary which will remain vacant at this stage and no voting shall take place for the post of Public Relations & Social Welfare Secretary in the election scheduled for 5th, 6th and 7th April 2019 at Chittagong and Dhaka. 

It is sincerely hoped by the ESC that all will participate in the said election with high spirits and enthusiasm and will select the future capable leaders for the Association through exercising their voting rights. 

Attached please find the amended Final List of Candidates for BMMOA Election 2019-20 dated 01-04-2019 (Amendment 2).

CODE of CONDUCT REQUESTED to be OBSERVED for BMMOA ELECTION 2019-20 TO BE HELD on 05, 06 and 07 April 2019 at Chittagong and Dhaka

01. All eligible voters of the Association and the candidates who are the members of an elite group known as Mariners are sincerely expected to observe proper and exemplary etiquette, courtesy, decorum and discipline, befitting their elite position in Society during the conduct of voting process and in and around the voting centers.

02. No booths, camps or placing of posters shall be permitted in and around the voting centers.

03. No voting agent or representative of any candidate shall be allowed in and around the voting centers.

04. No effort shall be made in any form or manner by any candidate or his supporters or his agents to influence any voter in casting his vote for a particular candidate during the conduct of the voting process in and around the voting centers.

05. No voter shall be accosted in any form or manner by any candidate or his supporters or his agents on his way to the voting center or inside the voting center premises in order to influence the voter to vote for a particular candidate.

06. Voters are requested to enter the voting area in ones and twos in a disciplined manner and after casting his vote, he is requested to leave the voting area immediately.

07. Voters and candidates are earnestly requested to leave the voting premises after casting his vote and not to loiter in and around the voting premises and not to discuss the details of the vote he has cast with anyone.

It is sincerely hoped and requested that the honorable voters and candidates shall voluntarily and willingly observe the above enumerated code of conduct for a free and fair election to the Executive Committee of BMMOA. It is further earnestly hope that there will be a high degree of participation of voters and that voting will take place in a very festive manner.
