Referring back to our previous correspondences regarding our Bangladeshi Australian Mariners Reunion, we are pleased to inform you that an entire resort has been booked in a picturesque setting in the outskirt of Canberra to facilitate this large scale event, arriving on Thursday 25th April and departing on Sunday 28th April 2019.

We may not be in your traditional flight path, visible in your radar, but we are proud to inform you that we have the 2nd largest overseas Bangladeshi Mariners (after Singapore), spanning from 1st to 42nd batch Marine Academy cadets and their contemporaries. We take pride in the fact that Bangladeshi Australian Mariners are making important contributions to Australian shipping industry that include working for Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) in important positions, shore based managerial positions with shipping related companies, on coastal and offshore support/supply vessels/barges/tug boats/dredgers, working as pilots etc. Our fellow Mariners have been working as IMO auditor and representing Australia at the highest level of international maritime forum leading Australian delegations to IMO.

Australia as a country is internationally renowned for its prime holiday destinations with a rich history of colonialism, modern cosmopolitan hubs and the contrasting outback, rainforests and beaches.

Please take this opportunity to participate in the largest Australian reunion yet, guaranteed there will be members present at this reunion with whom you have extant bonds, may have sailed together, or even crossed paths at sea or ashore.

An event of this scale requires substantial logistics and hard work.  Please join us in solemn prayers for the departed souls of our beloved fellow mariners, for our good health, and to nurture and reinforce our marine roots and strengthen bonds

Cost per couple for the 3 night package will be approximately US$450, which includes accommodation, food and entertainment.  We can assure you that this event will entail 70 hours of opulent living, exotic culinary dining and astounding entertainment. A fiscal value cannot be placed when conducting a cost-value assessment to determine the feasibility of such a venture.

We have received 50% discount from the peak rate for the entire resort. Coupled with plummeted A$, it will be a perfect opportunity for your family-holiday in this great island continent. We will support your visa applications as required and take care of you from your point of landing to take off.

We look forward to your company with your family at this grand event. As we are receiving significant response, please act quickly to reserve your place before we are fully booked out. Please book your place with M Qamruzzaman (11E), Canberra, +61 411 231 316, qamru8@gmail.com who is one of the main organizers and point of contact for overseas participants.

Kind regards
